Australias biggest and most prestigious night of the week when the professional comedians on the Australian Comedy Circuit come together to try new material.

Danny McGinlay - Bulldogs Bannerman Live!

In 2014, Danny McGinlay [Utopia, The Project, The Footy Show] sent a tweet about how he thought the Western Bulldogs banner was rubbish. This triggered a series of events which ended a 62 year Premiership drought. 

Like a Melbourne version The Mighty Ducks except true, and with more spelling errors. 

McGinlay has performed stand up on four continents, gigged for Royalty, Prime Ministers and now the MCG on Grand Final Day.

LA Comedian, now Australian resident, Ashley Fils-Aime teams up with local comedy veteran Gabriel Rossi for a light-hearted look at having an ethnic heritage, and how it really doesn’t matter what your background is or where you’re from. 

The show features stand-up, sketch comedy and music.  It might not tick all the boxes of political correctness, but then again, when it does, it’s usually not that funny anyway. 

Come down and enjoy well over an hour of fun jokes about all things cultural from two very different perspectives, and by the time you walk out, you will realise It Dont Matter If Youre Black or Wog!

Bob Franklin will host a showcase of the best International & Local comedians in town for The Melbourne Comedy Festival.

On Australian television, Franklin was both writer and performer on Jimeoin, Shaun Micallefs World Around Him & The Mick Molloy Show.

Franklin made several appearances on Thank God Youre Here and Talking ‘bout Your Generation; and has featured in sitcoms such as The Librarians, Upper MiddleBogan and Please Like Me (2013).

 

Franklin has appeared in several Australian films, including The Craic, You Cant Stop The Murders, Bad Eggs & The Extra.
