  • Marty Fields

    Wednesday 22 February
     - Saturday 25 February

Doors Open: 6:30PM. Dinner: 6:30PM. SHOW STARTS: 8PM

Marty Fields began his stand-up career in 1987, playing the comedy circuit in the hotels and clubs of Australia.

As one of Australia’s "funny men" Marty enjoyed a four year run on Hey, Hey, It’s Saturday, was resident comedian on the game show Blankety Blanks and a regular guest on Battle of the Sexes. He is also currently developing a sketch comedy show for network television. As the best selling author of three comedy books, Marty is recognized as the authority on one-liners for every possible topic. He also lectures in comedy writing and delivery and has a formidable list of shows and awards to his credit.

Marty performs "stand up" throughout Australia's comedy venues and makes numerous corporate appearances. Marty recently returned from the United States where he performed at the famous Improv in L.A., Vegas, and the New York Comedy Club. It is Marty’s ability to adapt to suit the taste of his audience that has allowed him to dominate both the corporate comedy scene as well as the more hard-edged pub circuit, resulting in him being nominated for the prestigious "MO" award as Best Stand Up Comedian in Australia.

The key to Marty Fields’ success is his versatility, having achieved popularity in comedy, acting and music. As an actor, Marty has appeared in most Australian TV dramas, performed featured and leading roles in numerous movies and starred in four successful stage musicals. Musically, Marty trained for fifteen years at the Melba Conservatorium in piano, voice and theory. As an M.C., Marty has taken the role to a new level in the corporate market. He combines his unique style of humour with a finely tuned sense of propriety and the occasion hosting successful functions for major corporations both in Australia and overseas.

Marty dedicates his spare time to the Animal Liberation movement, the Melbourne Lost Dog’s home and he is a Patron of fundraising organisation Oz Showbiz Cares /Equity Fights AIDS where he regularly hosts fundraising quiz nights and annual concerts.
